United Motion Pictures Films Hold the Highest Ranks in American and International Box Offices

United Motion Pictures is always keen to bring record-breaking films in revenues and popularity to Egyptian cinema screens. United Motion Pictures is the sole agent of the American 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros in Egypt.
During its second week, the American blockbuster film Inception, directed by Christopher Nolan, broke revenue records as it remains the number one film in American and international box offices. The film’s revenues have reached 143 million dollars in the United States, in addition to 84 million dollars achieved through international viewership. The total revenues of Inception have reached 227 million dollars and the film has been released in 2792 cinema theatres around the world. It is noteworthy that the film made a strong debut, achieving 62 million dollars during the first three days of its release.
The Twilight franchise continues to break revenue records after the smashing international success it witnessed on its opening weekend. The film reaped 606 million dollars internationally, 279 million dollars of which were achieved in the United States alone and 326 million dollars were achieved internationally. These achievements make The Twilight Saga: Eclipse the second most successful production in the series. Eclipse has outdone the first part of the Twilight series and is now very close to exceeding the success of the second part. Considering that the film is still running in cinemas around the world, experts expect its success to exceed that of the second part during the coming two weeks. Eclipse is currently being viewed in 4468 cinema screens around the word.
In addition, Predators has reaped very good revenues during its second week of release. The film’s achievements reached 94 million dollars globally, making 46 million dollars in the United States alone and 48 million dollars in international markets. The film is a bold new chapter in the Predator universe. Predators, which was first released in the eighties and told the world-renowned story of alien monsters on Earth. Predators also received positive reviews from film critics and audiences who gave the production a 7 out of 10 rating on IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base). The film is currently being viewed in 2669 cinema theatres around the world.
On another note, Knight and Day is still witnessing substantial success around the world. The film’s revenues have reached 161 million dollars within the United States and internationally.
